Mission: The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is responsible for investigations pertaining to violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, including persons and or organizations attempting to illegally infiltrate and impact Colorado's legalized gaming industry.
Gaming Unit Function and Objectives: Through the cooperative effort of the Colorado Division of Gaming, CBI has established a team of criminal investigators specifically to investigate criminal activity as it relates to legalized gaming in Colorado. These investigators conduct investigations in the area of racketeering, Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA), white collar crime, embezzlement, money laundering schemes, and fraud. As the gambling industry continues to grow in Colorado, so will the efforts of the Gaming Unit.
