• In 2007, a total of 28,119 burglaries were reported by law enforcement agencies in Colorado.
• This is a 11.6% decrease in burglaries from 2006.
• Burglaries accounted for 56.3% of the major offenses reported.
• There were 14,280 forced entry burglaries reported. Forced entry burglaries accounted 50.8% of the burglaries.
• There were 11,992 non-forced entry burglaries reported. Non-forced entry burglaries accounted for 42.6% of the burglaries.
• There were 1,847 attempted burglaries reported. Attempted burglaries accounted for 6.6% of the burglaries.
